Dredge Transport

Case Highlights
Buckingham Transport’s client, a gravel and stone company near Indianapolis, needed to move a 27’6″x124′ dredge from one section of a quarry to another. The move entailed supporting the dredge as it was removed from the water, lifting it onto a transport system, and driving it 2800′ across a street to the new location. Buckingham used cribbing to support the dredge, then lifted it with a hydraulic unified jacking system and installed a customized self-propelled dolly system consisting of steel beams and six power and coaster dollies under it. They then drove it to its new location, completing the project safely and efficiently.

Client Satisfaction
Buckingham’s dolly transport solution provided the client with a cost‑effective, efficient method that ensured the dredge was transported safely and without complication to its destination.
