Case Highlights
A new power substation in West Virginia needed two 488,800-lb transformers delivered to the site. As they were too large to ship by railcar, Buckingham Heavy Transport coordinated the transfer of the transformers from the ship to a barge in New Orleans. When they arrived upriver at the landing, Buckingham installed barge ramps and used a 12-line Goldhofer SPMT to drive the transformers off the barge for staging for delivery to the substation.
